Setting the Scene

I had to try and find a visual style early, so I experimented with the visual style of my assets, and textures. Because the scene takes place in a high school work shop, I had to decide whether to use real looking textures, or use cartoon like colours that were much flatter, and less detailed.

We were required to do an animatic of our project at a very early stage. This is to establish the cinematic qualities of the final animation, and will be used as a reference point for peer review.

I wanted to make the opening shot a slow pan of the wood shop, where the viewer can see the context in which this scene takes place.
